Only 19 will be made and they are sold out.
The supercapacitor hybrid V12 makes 819 horsepower.
It may be the most striking drop-top hypercar ever.
Last fall, Lamborghini introduced the Sián and we were stunned. This was the most powerful V12 Lamborghini of all-time but that wasn’t enough for the Italian supercar maker. Now, we have the Sián Roadster, in all its powerful glory and beauty.
By we, of course, we mean the lucky 19 who have already put their hand up for one of these ultra-powerful hybrid Lamborghini roadsters. The 785 horsepower 6.5-litre V12 engine is mated to a 48-volt e-motor which is located in the transmission. It gets its power from the innovative supercapacitor application. The latter can store 10 times the power of a lithium-ion battery. The motor handles low-speed maneuvres such as reversing and parking but let’s be frank, this is not what it’s really about.
The e-motor also delivers an extra 34 horsepower and provides immediate throttle response and improved performance. The exact performance, as delivered by the total 819 system horsepower, is astounding. The Roadster hits 100 km/h in only 2.9 seconds and will reach a top speed of over 350 km/h. the electric motor delivers a boost at speed of to 130 km/h, after which the V12 is left up to its own devices.
The Lamborghini Sián Roadster is breathtaking, especially in its debut colour, Blu Uranus. Each Sián Roadster will be entirely customizable through Lambo’s Ad Personam department but the debut car’s white interior combined with the Oro Electrum finished wheels is perfect.
Pricing is not yet known however the Oro Electrum Sián coupe started at a cool $3.6 million so it must be in excess of $3.7 or $3.8 million, for the base model…
