The Zephyr is a styling exercise that is thoroughly convincing.
It represents the latest expression of Lincoln’s Quiet Flight product DNA.
The production version will launch later this year.
As we all know, Lincoln’s now completely abandoned the idea of selling new cars. The Continental and MKZ (aka Zephyr) will no longer be available in North America. We can’t help but wonder what would have happened had Lincoln opted to bring the Zephyr her as introduced at the 2021 edition of Auto Shanghai.
We think we can all agree that the Lincoln Zephyr Reflection Preview car is incredibly attractive. As the latest interpretation of Lincoln’s Quiet Flight product DNA, this car is geared towards younger customers who are still very much into sedans. The signature Lincoln grille is massive and spreads across the front fascia and overall, the Zephyr is taut and aggressively penned.
The cabin has been fast-forwarded into the present with a giant screen from “coast to coast”. It is comprised of a digital cluster and a panoramic centre touchscreen. There are very few physical knobs as well as a futuristic steering wheel.
Mao Jingbo, president of Lincoln China, added, “we gathered Lincoln’s global wisdom and Chinese design talent to create the Zephyr Reflection specifically for a more youthful, Chinese customer segment. With a dynamic and futuristic exterior design and a lightweight interior, the Zephyr Reflection embodies the current digital era with advanced, intuitive technology that redefines American luxury.”
The production version of the Lincoln Zephyr Reflection Preview car arrives later this year and more than likely will see many of its styling cues toned down.
