The Maserati Grecale to be Revealed on November 16th

The new Maserati Grecale will become the brand’s global sales leader with little doubt

  • Grecale means strong, cool Mediterranean wind.

  • It will slot below the Levante SUV.

  • It shares its underpinnings with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

It had been a while since we’d heard some news from Maserati concerning the Grecale, its new compact premium SUV. The potential for the vehicle is huge as given the proposed powertrains, size, and expected near-affordable pricing, it should turn Maserati’s fortunes around in little time.

The new Maserati Grecale will share the Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s bones meaning that there’s serious potential for an engaging drive (we love the Stelvio) as well as numerous powertrain options. Plans seem to indicate that it will be offered with a choice between petrol, hybrid, and all-electric powertrains. According to some sources, it could potentially harbour a possibly detuned version of the MC20’s 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6.

Spy shots reveal that the Grecale will be a combination of the existing Levante mixed in MC20 touches such as the headlights. The Grecale’s interior should be as luxurious as the Levante’s as well though it should be a touch more modern.
