The New Lamborghini Urus S Gets 666hp

Lamborghini calls the new Urus S the ultimate lifestyle Super SUV

  • This Urus needs only 3.5 seconds to reach 100km/h from a standstill.

  • The engine tune is borrowed from the Urus Performante.

Ultimate super SUV is a huge statement that, quite frankly, applies to the Lamborghini Urus. Already a smash hit, the best-ever-selling Lambo, gains another trim to titillate potential buyers. The new Urus S bridges the Performante’s power with luxurious versatility and presence.

The power, all of 666hp, is the result of tweaks brought to the twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine initially introduced with the Performante version in mid-August. Thanks to the extra gusto, the super-SUV fires off from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 12.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 305 km/h. The included retuned exhaust system reminds all in the Super SUV’s vicinity that it is a true Lamborghini.

“The Urus has proven its appeal for those seeking the decisive combination of the sportiest SUV and a Lamborghini to drive every day: the Urus S sits perfectly alongside the new Urus Performante, for those choosing the purest sublimation of performance, luxury, and versatility,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman, and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Urus’ commercial success, with more than 20,000 vehicles produced, is testament to its credentials as the first and enduring Super SUV: the Urus S elevates that reputation.”

Visually, the Urus S offers both a new front and rear bumper, matte-black painted trim, and a nearly endless series of options in terms of colors, trim, wheels, style packages, and special details for maximum customization. The cabin too will be privy to a fully-revised color and trim offer.

Pricing will begin at 195.538 euros, without tax, or about the same in USD.
