The new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake arrives in Europe

Mercedes-Benz launched, on the European market, some new variants of it’s CLA Shooting Brake, the CLA 45 4MATIC+ and CLA 45 S 4MATIC+.

Warning: you are about to be exposed to another model of a super cool vehicle that, unfortunately, will not be coming to North America…

Here is the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ Shooting Brake, a small family with a coupe silhouette with power ranging between 387 horsepower and 421 horsepower, depending on the chosen variant, and which definitely charm the hearts of all the family performance cars fans. Yes, the “normal” Mercedes-Benz version lacking the prestigious AMG badge, the CLA 250 Shooting Brake, has been around since last fall, but with 225 horsepower under the hood, it is certainly not so shameless.

This wagon is available in CLA 45 and CLA 45 S variants, with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that promises a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.1 and 4.0 seconds respectively.

Indeed, with our enthusiasm for crossovers and SUVs, European manufacturers have labeled us as buyers totally focused on these categories. So, the chances that the Shooting Brakes, like the CLA 45, crossing the Atlantic are very slim. Therefore, it will be necessary to be satisfied with AMG-tuned SUVs, like the “45” variants of the GLA and the GLB.
