As we know, an all-new Z car is expected later this year.
There will be no 2021 370Z, the 2020 model year car will be available in 2021.
Last September, Nissan teased the automotive world with the Z Proto. With possibly a mild exception or two physically, the Z Proto is spot-on perfect. In fact, patent images of the new Z clearly show that the new car will be identical, or nearly, to the Z Proto. Before its arrival though, we must say goodbye to the 370Z.
The Nissan 370Z is an old car, very old, but despite this, it remains an interesting car to drive. In fact, the base $30,498 2020 370Z Coupe (in Canada), is nearly a bargain performance sports car. And, as confirmed by Motor Authority, the 2020 model year will be the Z34’s last and will carry on into 2021.
This bit of news means little as the Z35 is a done deal. We know what it will look like both on the outside and inside. The only missing piece of information that is lacking, or has yet to be officially confirmed, is what will power the “400Z”. Most, as we do, believe it will be the Infiniti Q60’s twin-turbocharged 400-horsepower 3.0-litre V6.
We’ll know more in the coming months.
