The perfect car for a little fun? The smart fortwo EV?

Although we love high-performance cars as much as the next bloke, we at MI are also fans of the smart fortwo. I’ve never met a smart I didn’t like, even the original cdi car with the, some would say, horrible single clutch automated manual transmission.

I’ve driven the first generation forfour and the roadster as well and all are cool in one way or another. Having said, our favorite is by far the EV. The little electric smart packs a wallop of torque which directly translates into surprising accelerative power. Apparently, that’s not all the smart EV can.

Here’s a video of a guy severely abusing his little car. We have to admit that it put a smile on our faces. The burnout and the drifting scenes are especially entertaining. In fact, we wonder how he managed to pull such stunts as the smart’s ESP is notoriously impossible to defeat, and just plain no fun.
