The Polestar 3 will Cost 75,000 to 110,000 Euros, Almost the Same in US Dollars

Polestar will price its upcoming Polestar 3 large SUV around 75,000 to 110,000 euros, with similar figures expected in the US.

  • The Polestar 3 will be a large premium electric SUV

  • The price for the United States will be similar due to the parity between USD and Euro

  • It will compete with other SUVs costing more

Polestar announced the European pricing for the Polestar 3 and said to expect very similar numbers when the model arrives in the United States next year.

According to the company, this upcoming premium electric SUV will be priced between €75,000 and €110,000, which would make it compete with entry-level versions of the gasoline-powered Porsche Cayenne in terms of price.

Due to the current and expected parity in the exchange rates, American buyers are expected to pay similar figures in US dollars to get behind the wheel of the Polestar 3 starting next year.

Canadian prices have not been announced yet but at the current time, this model would cost around $98,000 to $145,000.

This price bracket will allow the Polestar 3 to be less expensive than other models that offer a similar level of luxury and performance.

According to the automaker’s CEO, this model will blend practicality and dynamic driving qualities, which are very important for high-end electric vehicles.

Few technical details have been revealed yet, but the Polestar 3 is expected to have a range of at least 600 kilometres according to the WLTP cycle, which is generally more optimistic than the EPA standard.

Polestar will begin taking orders for its first SUV in October before deliveries start towards the end of the year or the beginning of 2023.

During its first year on the market, the brand expects the Polestar 3 to sell 24,000 units, which should help it reach its global sales goal of 124,000 units.

Starting in 2024, the Polestar 4 will join the lineup as a smaller and more affordable SUV that will account for the bulk of the company’s sales when paired with the Polestar 3.
