The Toyota Supra GRMN Has A 510 Horsepower Future

“Born on Nürburgring. Built for the road.” That's the Toyota GRMN way and the Supra would be the most powerful of them all.

  • The Supra GRMN would get the new BMW M3 and M4’s “Competition” turbocharged engine.

  • If the car comes, it is not expected before 2023, perhaps as a final edition.

  • It would be built in limited numbers, possibly as little as 200.

Toyota Gazoo Racing is in part responsible for the Japanese giant’s current good standing with most enthusiasts. There are those who think that the 5th generation A90 Toyota Supra is an abomination and to these people, Toyota seems to be saying that they’re not quite done yet; wait until you see the GRMN Supra.

But now, according to bestcarweb.jp, the Supra will eventually be offered with the new BMW M3 and M4’s 510 horsepower turbo 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine, mated to a 7-speed M-DCT transmission. Thus will be born the GRMN Supra.

New 2021 BMW M3 And M4 To Get Manual Transmission, RWD And Up To 510 Horsepower

GRMN stands for “Gazoo Racing Masters of Nürburgring” and will be the ultimate trim on the current A90 generation Supra. Gazoo Racing is fully expected to tune the chassis in order to handle all the extra power, with help gained from participating in a number of races, include the 24 Hours Nürburgring.

This Super-Supra is not expected to arrive until 2023 and only 200 are expected to be built. The news source also says that the GR Supra will end in 2025 and that there are no plans for a follow-up generation.
