The refresh includes a restyled front fascia and grille.
The 5-speed manual transmission is still available.
The minivan segment holds only four models, and most people consider it to be the smallest new vehicle category in Canada. The fact is that subcompacts cars currently have the fewest members and one of them is the Nissan Versa. To keep it fresh and competitive, it is updated for 2023.
The revised Nissan Versa soldiers on into 2023 with its mechanicals unchanged. It still offers a standard 122-horsepower 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine that is available with a 5-speed manual transmission (S only) or a smooth Xtronic transmission (optional on S, standard on SV and SR).
The big changes are visual. For 2023, the car gains an updated version of the brand’s signature V-motion grille and new Nissan brand logos inside and out.
The top-trim SR is on the receiving end of the most attention. It is delivered with a new 17-inch alloy wheel design and a unique new Gray Sky Pearl paint colour. Onboard, it gains a center console with an armrest, an 8-inch touchscreen, and Intelligent Cruise Control.
The mid-range SV also earns a centre console with an armrest as well as a wireless phone charging pad. The base S is fitted with a complete suite of safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and much more.
The 2023 Nissan Versa goes on sale at the end of this year.
