Hyundai couldn’t have chosen a better venue than the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England to unveil its new high-performance electric sedan: the IONIQ 6 N. Expectations point to a power output nearing 650 horsepower.

The model will debut at the renowned Festival of Speed
The chassis has been completely reworked to deliver maximum performance
As expected since the reveal of the refreshed 2026 IONIQ 6, the high-performance N variant is about to make its debut. The 2022 RN22 concept already gave a good preview of the project, but now things are becoming more concrete. For several weeks, the automaker has been building anticipation with teaser images and bits of information.
Sharper design and refined aerodynamics
In terms of styling, several distinctive features stand out: redesigned bumpers and wider tracks—likely to accommodate larger tires. For reference, the IONIQ 5 N rides on 275/35R21 tires, so it’s plausible the 6 N will inherit the same size.
The wheels will also be exclusive, but the most striking visual feature is undoubtedly the large wing mounted on the trunk. It’s worth noting that the 2026 IONIQ 6 has dropped the integrated spoiler on the rear window in favor of a new, larger and more functional “ducktail” spoiler.
A chassis reengineered for the track
The latest teasers reveal more technical details, emphasizing a design focused on driving feel and circuit performance. Among the key upgrades is a completely reworked suspension with optimized geometry: a lowered roll center, extended caster trail, and electronically controlled stroke-sensing (ECS) dampers for better control of body movement and grip.

The driving experience is also enhanced thanks to improved versions of the N e-Shift and N Active Sound+ systems, now available across all driving modes. These features—already praised on the IONIQ 5 N—replicate the sensation of a traditional gearbox with simulated gear shifts and an “N Ambient Shift Light” that signals the ideal moment for a virtual shift.
Sharper Drift Mode
The N Drift Optimiser system also gets extended tuning options. Designed for track use, it allows the driver to precisely adjust the vehicle’s behavior based on their drifting skill level, offering optimal control of controlled slides.
Power figures still under wraps
The full spec sheet has not yet been released, but all signs suggest the IONIQ 6 N will surpass its sibling in terms of output. Estimates point to a combined output of over 650 horsepower, with a “Boost” mode that could temporarily push the figure close to 700 horsepower.
The wait is nearly over for thrill seekers and electric performance enthusiasts: the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N will be officially unveiled on July 10, 2025, on the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed course.
