These New Vehicles are Priced Highest Above Their Initial MSRP

Those looking for a deal on a new vehicle should at least avoid these 15 models

  • Nine of the top 15 vehicles on the list are selling for 20% or more than their MSRP.

  • SUVs are extremely hot.

  • On average, these vehicles are selling for 9.9% more than their MSRP.

Buying a vehicle today, new or used, has little to do with how it used to be done only two years ago. Want to order a new car? Say a Ford Maverick hybrid? If you’re lucky, you’ll only have to wait about a year before taking delivery. What about a model that’s in stock? If you do find one, be prepared to part with 25% more money.

Some vehicles on this list are known for their strong resale values but these values are on another level. The Jeep Wrangler has long been a depreciation-opposing vehicle but today, even a new example may cost you, on average, between 22.9% and 26.7% more than its actual manufacturer suggested retail price.

New car, SUV, and truck prices are steadily increasing and if you are shopping for one, you might want to consider not considering these 15 vehicles according to iSeeCars.
