Exclusive paintwork from Aston’s Q
A sharp departure from the usual dull Aston Martins
It’s not often that a new car dealer is able to launch models special enough to get our attention, but Aston Martin isn’t a normal brand and it appears that the Newport Beach dealer isn’t your typical new car showroom. The California dealer has just introduced a series of Astons painted in delightful pastel colours that can only be sourced through that particular store.
The Pastel Collection brightens up the Aston line, normally seen in darker shades of grey and green, and while we’re big fans of Astons in racing green, it’s hard not to like these tasty shades.
Starting with the DB11 Volante, which Robb Report says is in a colour called Clear Water and has a sticker of US $290,192. The Vantage Convertible is Cardamom Violet while the Vantage Coupe is Ultra Violet, and there is a DB11 Coupe in Butterfly Teal. Last up is the DBX, offering a colour called Vibrant Coral. Gloss black accents help make these paint jobs pop, while inside are black and ivory leathers along with exterior paint on the center console, door inserts, and some other spots.
The Pastel Collection paintwork was done by Aston in-house customisers Q. Brand manager of the Newport Beach dealer Matthew Parsons told Robb Report that “when we realized the cars would be arriving around the start of spring, we settled on a family of pastel colours that we would paint across our model range.” In the past, the dealer has had exclusives made including a one of one colour-shifting Spectral Blue 2020 DBS Superleggera.
