This 2015 Tesla Model S Has Over 400,000 Miles (700,000 KM)!

  • YouTuber Braden Carlson reviews a 2015 Tesla Model S with 400,000 miles

  • The car was used for Uber which explains the high mileage

  • Many components were changed, but overall the Model S seems to hold up well to the passage of time

Those who are wondering if the Tesla Model S ages well and remains reliable after 100,000 miles need not worry. At least not if this 2015 Tesla Model S with 424,000 miles on the odometer, or just over 682,000 kilometers, is any indication.

The car is owned by a friend of YouTube user Braden Carlson, and it’s definitely one of the Teslas with the most mileage in the world. At least, we haven’t seen one with more miles on the odometer to date.

The Model S in question was once an Uber vehicle, which explains its high mileage. According to the video, it travels over 100,000 kilometers every year.

You are probably wondering about the condition of the powertrain. Several components have been replaced over time, including the front engine at 611,550 kilometers (380,000 miles).

The battery, always a source of concern for many consumers, survived more than 400,000 kilometers (250,000 miles) before Tesla replaced it. It was still under warranty since the car has unlimited mileage protection on the powertrain. The rear engine is original.

A rear axle replacement was required at 603,500 kilometers (375,000 miles), and several suspension components were also replaced at the same time.

Still, this 2015 Tesla Model S still holds up and looks like it will keep going for a long time. Maybe a million miles?
