This F-150 is the Best Retro Pickup Yet

Retro looks, modern pickup

  • Retro paintwork combines with retro light bar

  • Offered new by Ford dealer and gets Rousch Performance gear

If you’re looking for the coolest retro pickup in the world, you’ll find it in a strange place. A dealer in Cincinnati is offering this two-tone truck that absolutely steps up the game and will turn your new Ford F-150 into the coolest pickup we’ve seen all year.

Two-tone paint jobs on 2020s pickups aren’t new, even with this A-B-A layout. Somehow, though, the look never quite works. Until now. Beechmont Ford in Cincinnati, OH, (via Autoblog) seems to have figured out what every other dealer trying the same thing had missed.

On top of the paint job, which they can do for you in multiple colours, the 2021 BFP Retro Ford F-150 gets loads of 1970s and 1980s goodness. 17-inch polished Pro Comp wheels, white-letter BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires, and a 3.5-inch lift kit make the basics nearly perfect.

The icing on the cake is a chrome sport bar in the bed with a full suite of KC Hi-Lites Dayliter round halogens and their signature smiley face covers to light up the night.

While we said it’s a paint job, it’s really a satin pearl wrap so you can pick your base colour. We’re sure they’ll hook you up in nearly every F-150 hue.

BFP recommends an XLT or Lariat Chrome package to give you the right shiny bits on the rest of the truck, but that’s just a recommendation. The dealer is also a Rousch Performance center that builds and sells loads of big-power pickups. So you can take the options list and just start running until you have the retro F-150 of your dreams.

And if you’ve seen the price of actual retro trucks lately, this will probably end up being a bargain.
