Top Dog Jeep Gladiator stores mountain bikes, tools, dogs
Loaded with other Jeep off-road goodies
The latest special edition from Jeep is called the Top Dog, of all the Jeep concepts we’ve seen over the decades, this might just be our favourite. Why? Because it will cook your hot dogs.
Jeep says the Gladiator Top Dog concept is aimed at hard-core mountain bike enthusiasts, ready to take them even further into the wilderness to start riding, but a few of the details have us scratching our heads.
It trades the bed of the stock Jeep Gladiator for a PCOR custom flatbed storage system. One side fives you pull-out drawers that will securely store tools and bike supplies. There are also interior storage shelves, exterior lighting switches, and extra power supplies for when riders need it.
On top of the cab is a rack holding a pair of Trek bikes, exterior task lights, and traction mats to help with vehicle recovery and extraction. All of that makes sense, but it’s this part that has us confused:
The side opposite the pull-out tool drawers? It holds a battery-powered fridge and an electric hot dog roller grille.
Don’t get us wrong, we love some dogs as much as the next person, but it seems like an oddly specific choice. I guess you need to stick with a theme, and some sweet, sweet trail dogs sound delicious. No word on an integrated mustard dispenser.
Finishing off the package is K-9 Blue paint, plus a Jeep Performance Parts two-inch lift and Fox shocks, along with JPP 17-inch wheels, a JPP bumper with winch (and another winch on the back), and a load of other Jeep aftermarket off-road accessories. The cabin uses K-9 Blue trim and Katzkin leather as well as Mopar all-weather floor mats.
