This Toyota Dealership Has Been Abandoned Since 1974

This abandoned Toyota dealership on Cyprus has a superb collection of dusty new-old-stock from 1974.

The pictures on SHOWA Racing’s Facebook post show what the building and nearby street looks like. It’s evident that nature is slowly reclaiming the area. But the interesting part is what lies within the decaying walls of the Toyota dealership.

The most common car throughout is the Corolla. From what we can gather, they were absolutely new when the city was abandoned. There were few if any differences between the 1973 and 1974 model years. As well, we can spot what looks to be a Corona or two in some of the images.

One image, we thought, looked to be from the dealerships used car inventory, but Facebook has discovered that it’s actually from a dealership in Nagoya, Japan. Even so, it’s another fascinating picture. On the left, we’re guessing we’re looking at a Lotus Seven while on the right, the car looks to be a Mini Marcos. We’re unfortunately stumped by the middle car.

And no you can’t visit the place as it appears as though this part of Famagusta is off-limits to visitors.
