We’ve seen an image on the interior.
Toyota’s also shown a GR Corolla lurking in shadows.
This time, we get a blurry ½ shot of the car’s front end.
Toyota’s steadily building some hype around the imminent arrival of the GR Corolla. Toyota’s used Instagram as one of its preferred ways to tease enthusiasts about what is expected to become the sportiest of its cars. And yes, we’ve heard about the Supra.

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla will be an AWD turbocharged 4-cylinder hatchback that will hit all the high notes with 268 horsepower and plenty of forward momentum. Of the images, if we can call them images, Toyota’s shared a picture of the cabin and one early on in December that teased a GR Corolla lurking the shadows created by containers.
The latest shot can be briefly seen, for about a ½ second, in a short video that features a pair of GR 86 doing what they do best. As we watch the pair negotiate a lovely “S” bend, for some reason, we are treated to a GR Corolla flash.
And that’s it. But that’s more than enough, at least for now. Toyota must have had plans to officially introduce the car early this year but given that most auto shows have so far been postponed or canceled, they want to make sure that we won’t forget that the coolest Corolla since the AE86 is on its way.
We won’t forget.
