Toyota Adds Honeycomb and Hot Honey Colours to its 2027 TRD Pro Models

• Honeycomb will be available on the Tundra, Sequoia and Tacoma TRD Pro, while Hot Honey will be available on the 4Runner TRD Pro.

• These two colours are almost identical, making it possible to match all four TRD Pro models.

• This strategy had been employed last year with Wavemaker blue.

A little over a year after it introduced the vibrant Wavemaker blue paint colour as an option on its entire lineup of TRD Pro models, Toyota is launching Honeycomb and Hot Honey in a similar strategy.

Indeed, the automaker will make its entire lineup of rugged off-road capable trucks and SUVs available in a bright, distinctive colour once again for 2027.

Instead of the bright blue of 2026 models and the orange of previous years, 2027 TRD Pro models will be available in a deep shade of mustard, or honey, yellow.

While the Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia will share the use of the Honeycomb shade, the 4Runner will receive a slightly different paint colour called Hot Honey.

It will be interesting to see this model next to another yellow TRD Pro vehicle in person since the two new colours look identical in the pictures provided by the automaker.

We don’t know yet if Wavemaker blue will be back for the new model year, but it is clear that the new yellows will replace it as the TRD Pro lineup’s emblematic colour in 2027 even if it stays.

2027 Toyota Sequoia Gains Trailhunter Package and Standard 14-Inch Display

Like before, all TRD Pro models feature red tow hooks as standard and the two pickup trucks can be ordered with Iso-dynamic front seats that improve comfort and stability during intensive off-road driving.

Also new for 2027 are multiple improvements to the Sequoia and Tundra TRD Pro, including new FOX Q3S shock absorbers that are designed to improve feel and stability, along with providing better off-road capabilities.

Final details and pricing for the 2027 Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, and Sequoia TRD Pro will be announced in the fall of 2026, when production is scheduled to start.
