Toyota is recalling certain 2024–2027 Land Cruiser SUVs in Canada because a fuel line connection could come apart. The campaign was issued on October 14 and updated on October 19. It carries Transport Canada recall number 2026-497 and Toyota campaign code SRC RN5.
According to Transport Canada, the plastic fuel tube above the fuel tank could disconnect from the main metal fuel line. That could allow fuel to escape and cause the engine to stall. A fuel leak also creates a fire risk.
Toyota says fuel could continue leaking until the hybrid system’s gasoline engine shuts off. If the leaking fuel reaches an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Dealers will inspect the connection and install an additional clamp to prevent it from separating. If necessary, they will also replace the plastic fuel tube. Toyota will cover the cost of the recall repairs.
The automaker plans to notify affected owners by mail by mid-December 2026. That is the notification deadline; the announcement does not confirm whether repair parts are already available at every dealership.
Owners can check whether their Land Cruiser is included by entering its vehicle identification number, or VIN, into Toyota Canada’s recall lookup tool. They can also contact Toyota’s customer service team at 1-888-869-6828.
