It’s expected to launch for the 2024 model year.
It will ride on Toyota’s new TNGA-F architecture.
Never really the butt-end of a joke, the car world in general knows that the Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner are some of the oldest “new” vehicles available for sale on the continent. Despite this fact, both are revered, and the Tacoma also happens to be one of the best-selling midsize pickups. Truth be told, everyone loves the pickup and Toyota’s about to introduce an all-new version.

The pressure is on as Toyota cannot screw this one up, and they won’t. Based on everything known, however little, the next Tacoma will resemble the current truck, however, will feature new powertrains, electrified for the most part, a new architecture, and a heavily updated interior.
While it’s still unclear when Toyota plans to reveal the new Tacoma, it can’t be that far away. The Japanese auto giant has shared teaser images on its social media pages teasing its imminent arrival. Said image shows nothing but at the same time, it’s enough to get truck lovers excited.
Like the 4Runner which should launch shortly after the Taco, the pickup will likely be motivated by turbocharged 4- and 6-cylinder engines with hybrid assistance from the automaker’s extended family of vehicles.
We’re willing to bet that Toyota will show the new Tacoma sooner rather than later, perhaps as early as early summer.
