Toyota X Prologue Electric SUV To Be Revealed On March 17th

Toyota is on the cusp of launching its own collection of EVs and the X Prologue will give us a first glimpse

  • This concept will be the first of a new family of EVs.

  • It will also introduce a new design language for the brand.

Toyota’s press release says nothing other than the fact that we will all get to virtually see the X Prologue concept on March 17th at 10:00 CET. There is one hint in the release’s title however that leads us to believe that this is not the first EV that will be produced by Toyota.

Toyota “BZ” Will Be Their First Series Of Full-Electric Vehicles

Back in December, we reported on Toyota launching the BZ family of fully-electric vehicles. In the story, and from the source, the first model that will be produced will be RAV4-sized however we think the X Prologue will not be it. Toyota’s release is titled: “X prologue – ‘A Small’ Preview Of What’s Next.” This seems to indicate that the electric vehicle will be very compact, something the RAV4 is not.

As we know, the BZ (Beyond Zero) grouping will include models ranging from the BZ1 to the BZ5. Based on the teaser image and the PR’s title, we assume the X Prologue will be in the lower nomenclatures.

The reveal will take place online at www.x-prologue.com on Wednesday 17th March at 10:00 CET.
