2023 Ford F-150 Lightning First Drive: The Moment of Truth

When one thinks of work equipment, pickups inevitably come up. This is why United Rentals has reserved no fewer than 500 new Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickups. These trucks will serve both the rental company’s customers as well as its own employees.

Also on order are 30 of Ford’s all-electric E-Transit commercial vans. They too will be used by the company and its clients.

Of the total 530 units on order, United expects to take delivery of 120 Lightnings and all 30 vans by the end of 2022, according to techxplore.

The 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is already a smash hit. More than 200,000 customers have reserved one and our recent first encounter with the electric truck proves that Ford’s not cut any corners.
