Verge TS is an electric motorcycle from Finland
It features 180 miles of range
The hubless wheel design is its most distinctive feature
The Verge TS is a fully electric motorcycle with a hubless rear wheel designed by Finn Teemu Saukkio, mostly in his garage. Last week, the company opened the pre-order book for the impressive electric motorcycle.
The motorcycle in question is powered by a 107-horsepower electric motor that simultaneously develops 735 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h (97 mph) in under 4.0 seconds. The range is 288 kilometers (180 miles) and the TS Verge’s battery can charge up to 100 kilometers of range (60 miles) in just 15 minutes. It only takes four hours to fully charge.
The Verge TS was designed in the garage of Teemu Saukkio who then received funds to complete his project. The bike sells for around 25,000 euros, which is the equivalent of about $ 40,000 in Canada or $30,000 in the US.
At this time, the motorcycle cannot be sold in North America, but if this is a taste of what to expect in the motorcycle industry in the years to come, there’s quite a bit to get excited about.
