VinFast VF 8 SUV Priced from $41,000

VinFast’s electric SUV offerings cover the bases and are affordable

  • The larger VF 9 starts at $56,000.

  • Both are available for early reservations now.

VinFast is on a roll. Last November, they introduced the VF e35 and VF e36 at the LAAS and now, only a few months later, they are available for pre-order. There is one major difference however and it’s their names. Going forward, the $41,000 VF e35 will be known as the VF 8 and the $56,000 VF e36 will go by the name VF 9.

VinFast Opens its Reservation Program for VF e35 and VF e36

Some specifications are now available for both electric SUVs. The main difference between the two is overall size. The VF 9, which will offer seating for six or seven passengers, is approximately 201.5 inches in length, 78.7inches wide and, 67.7 inches tall. The VF 8’s dimensions are 187 x 74.8 x 65.3. Output for both will be a maximum of 402 horsepower and 472 lb.-ft. of torque. Range varies from a WLTP targeted 316.9 miles for the VF 8 and 422.5 miles for the VF 9.

The pricing information and launch of the pre-order website were also accompanied by the introduction of three other vehicles, the subcompact VF 5, compact VF 6, and VF 7.

Reservations are open now and will remain so until April 5th. This three-month window will entitle reservation holders access to VinFast’s membership program.
