Volkswagen ID.4 Buyers Get Three-Years Free Charging at Electrify Canada

Volkswagen buyers in Canada looking at bringing home VW’s first purpose-built EV crossover are now going to get an extra treat. The Volkswagen ID.4 will come with three years free charging, as long as you’re able to access the Electrify Canada network.

The Volkswagen ID.4 is expected to arrive this fall, starting from just under $45,000 before incentives and destination charges. The new charging offer from Electrify Canada helps sweeten that deal.

While Electrify Canada currently only offers a handful of charging locations and around 100 chargers in four provinces, the network has recently announced a significant, if sluggish, expansion. Plans are to have 500 chargers by 2025 at more than 100 locations. This will give the network a presence in nine provinces and give drivers the ability to charge from Halifax to Victoria.

Electrify Canada’s 150 kW and 350 kW charging will allow ID.4 owners to charge from 5 to 80 percent in approximately 38 minutes, depending on conditions. Users can track their charge through the Electrify Canada app, and take advantage of 24-hour customer support.
