The ability to reserve an all-new VW ID.4 will be limited to the US from September 23rd. Canadians will have to wait a little longer as the all-electric ID.4 only lands next spring. In the meantime, all will be to visit VW.com and build an ID.4.

The reservation process will involve an initial and fully-refundable $100 deposit to secure a spot inline. Once production begins, reservation holders will be required to confirm their order with a supplemental deposit of $400.

“Our online reservations portal will give those who are ready to make the switch to an EV SUV a place at the front of the line,” said Duncan Movassaghi, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Volkswagen. “We’re excited to share the future of Volkswagen with the ID.4. It’s a compelling, zero direct emissions alternative to the compact SUVs on the market today.”
