Volkswagen ID. Buzz To Premiere in March 2022

After what seems like a decade, we’re getting closer to seeing the retro-cool all-electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz on the road

  • Reservations for the Buzz are already open in some European countries.

  • Order books open next March and April.

  • Deliveries are set to begin in the first half of 2022.

We truly are only about 18 months away from a tsunami of new EVs. Many will boast performance, design, but none, for the moment, will deliver family practicality as will the hotly anticipated Volkswagen ID. Buzz.

Volkswagen ID.BUZZ Minibus Teased Before Launch

Many European nations can now pre-order a new Volkswagen ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo. These reservations will convert into actual orders in March for the Cargo version. As for passenger vans, order books will open the following month.

We’ve seen a number of concepts over the years, starting with the Bulli, and we’ll finally get a glimpse of the final production version of the Buzz next March. Normally, this reveal would coincide with the Geneva International Motor Show however the organization announced some time ago that they were postponed until 2023.

Production of both ID. Buzz vehicles will begin at the Hannover plant in February 2022 according to Motor.es for the European markets. North America will be supplied by VW’s Chattanooga, TN. plant in 2023.
