Volkswagen’s seventh member of the ID. family of concepts will be unveiled on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION will make its world debut in two weeks during the LA Auto Show week.
Indeed, Volkswagen’s seventh member of the ID. family of concepts will be shown for the first time on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19, 2019.
“So far, with our ID. family, we have shown what is possible with electric vehicles in each known car category,” said Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design. “With the ID. SPACE VIZZION we create a new, fully electric segment.”
Volkswagen is undeniably creating its own segment with this concept.
They mentioned the ID. SPACE VIZZION to be “a crossover of tomorrow that combines the aerodynamic characteristics of a Gran Turismo with the spaciousness of an SUV.”
The SPACE VIZZION, like all the other ID. concepts, is based on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) and will have a range of up to 300 miles (EPA), according to Volkswagen.
In the cabin we will find a fully digitized cockpit but also sustainable raw material, like AppleSkin, which is a vegan alternative to leather.
The Volkswagen ID. SPACE VIZZION will make it to production as the German manufacturer is saying that it’s “a concept for the future but is not a dream”.
That being said, the production version will appear in 2021 and will be available in different variants depending on the region where it will be sold, North America, Europe and China.
