VW teased us with the Buzz in November.
This time, they took to Twitter with a quick tour of the last camo’d version.
We are getting closer to seeing the final production look of possibly the most anticipated non-truck and non-SUV electric vehicle in 2022. The ID. Buzz is about to premiere, and Volkswagen does not want us to miss it.
Volkswagen News took to Twitter to share a brief quasi walk-around of the Buzz.
The #VWIDBUZZ is coming soon! We have adapted a true Volkswagen classic to the challenges of modern mobility. Behind its aerodynamic shape hides a smart high-tech #EV which will take the #eMobility game to a whole new level 🔥 Watch the video and get excited! #WayToZero pic.twitter.com/z7CnKYcwXQ

Even if the Buzz, which may end up not officially being called the Buzz, is revealed on March 9th, we are still a long way away from seeing them on the road in North America. Europe will be first with deliveries expected later in 2022, possibly by the third quarter.
The US and Canada will have to wait longer. Unlike the ID.4, the Buzz will not be brought over from Europe to supply initial demand. Currently, Volkswagen is almost done tooling up is Chattanooga, Tennessee plant for EV production.
By year’s end, Chattanooga will be assembling ID.4s for North American consumption. Sometime after that, in 2023, the factory will build the Buzz for our Continent. If we’re lucky, the electric microbus is about 18 months away for us.
