Volkswagen Teases the Next-Generation Tiguan: World Premiere Set for Autumn

The Third-Generation Tiguan Packs Top-Notch Tech and a Comfort-Forward Design, Ready to Redefine the SUV Experience

  • Volkswagen unveils third-gen Tiguan, featuring advanced tech and an enhanced electric range.

  • New Tiguan brings premium lighting, adaptive chassis control, and a customer-oriented cockpit.

  • Enhanced powertrain versatility and increased luggage capacity mark Tiguan’s space optimization.

In the midst of final test drives, Volkswagen has lifted the veil on the much-anticipated third generation of its best-selling model, the Tiguan. The global auto giant announced that the upcoming SUV will come packed with premium-class technologies and a boosted electric range, slated for market launch in 2024.

The forthcoming Tiguan is underpinned by Volkswagen’s MQB evo – the latest evolutionary stage of the modular transverse matrix platform. Not only does this update accommodate a variety of state-of-the-art technologies, but it also signifies the introduction of a new plug-in hybrid drive with an impressive electric range of up to 100 kilometres.

Among the advanced features that define this new SUV are HD matrix headlights and a revolutionary adaptive chassis control. As one of the earliest adopters in its segment, the Tiguan brings a premium lighting technology, originally developed for the Tiguan and Touareg, to the mid-sized SUV market. Moreover, the evolved DCC Pro adaptive suspension control is set to enhance the vehicle’s dynamics and comfort significantly.

On the inside, the Tiguan promises a superior user experience with a new-generation cockpit and infotainment system. This updated interface, created from valuable customer feedback, ensures a more intuitive and logical operating concept. Alongside the advanced infotainment, passengers can also enjoy ergoActive front seats, offering heated, ventilated seating with premium features like a 10-chamber pressure point massage function.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan will cater to diverse driving preferences by offering a selection of TDI, TSI, eTSI, and eHybrid powertrains, thanks to the versatility of the MQB evo. The updated plug-in hybrid system will be faster, with AC charging capabilities across all eHybrid versions and standard DC charging for the first time.

The new model’s dimensions remain almost identical to its predecessor, with a minor increase in length. Despite this, the vehicle showcases remarkable space utilization, offering a substantial increase in luggage compartment capacity from its predecessor.

Undeniably, the new Tiguan is shaping up to be a compelling blend of advanced technologies, exceptional comfort, and robust performance. With its world premiere set for this autumn, automotive enthusiasts worldwide can eagerly anticipate the arrival of this fully revamped model.
