New front and rear fascias line it up with the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport.
The cabin also gains a few tasteful upgrades.
It’s almost impossible to imagine Volkswagen on our continent without the Tiguan. Since the introduction for the 2018 model year, the Tiguan has gone on to earn the brand’s best-seller title and with reason. For the 2022 model year, it gets an updated face and interior bits.
The new Tiguan was announced last summer, in June of 2020 to be more precise, and it’s been available for purchase in Europe since July. There, as here, the aesthetic updates are limited to are skin-deep. The front end gains a broader grille that mimics the one currently grafted on the updated-for-2021 Atlas, the new Atlas Cross Sport, and let’s not forget the all-new Taos. The rear end gets new lettering and location on the hatch. The cabin is also spruced up with a new larger available 10-inch touchscreen and more.
Precise details, including trims, specs, and pricing for Canada will be shared at a later date. The updated 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan arrives this fall and will certainly carry on as the brand’s best-selling model in Canada and the US.
