Volvo Canada Launches The New Garage Design Challenge

As Volvo introduces its first fully electric model, it invites Canadians to also rethink the garage as a living space

The all-new Volvo XC40 Recharge will usher a new era of mobility for many Volvo owners. Having challenged themselves to rethink how Canadians get around, Volvo Canada is now challenging people to revisit the garage and transform into a new and refreshed space.

 

Volvo Canada’s contest is open to design enthusiasts of all levels from professionals to amateurs across Canada and over the age of 18. Applicants must submit one combined PDF (maximum file size 20MB) that showcases their conceptual thinking with the following elements: A written statement, a visual component, both of which must meet specific criteria.

The winning submission of the New Garage challenge will be awarded a $2,500 cash prize, a full-page print feature in a 2021 issue of House & Home and Maison & Demeure Magazines and finally, the winning New Garage vision will be showcased within the Volvo Car Canada Ltd. footprint at the 2021 Toronto IDS (Interior Design Show).

 

The contest opens today and all submissions must be received by December 31st, 2020. The winner will be announced in March next year.
