In a move showcasing its continued commitment to sophistication, performance, and sustainability, Volvo Canada has announced the addition of the XC60 Black Edition to its 2024 lineup. Available exclusively on the top-spec Ultimate equipment level, this SUV promises an array of unique features that cater to lovers of luxury and sustainability.
The XC60 Black Edition brings an aura of elegance and distinction. Its Onyx Black exterior is perfectly matched with numerous glossy black details, including a sleek iron mark logo, Volvo spread word mark, and standout 21-inch 5-Double Spoke High Gloss Black Alloy wheels. Beyond the looks, the vehicle comes with two electrified powertrain options as part of Volvo’s commitment to sustainability. Customers can opt for the XC60 Recharge Black Edition T8, boasting a plug-in hybrid powertrain that delivers a blend of speed and efficiency. Alternatively, the XC60 B5 AWD Black Edition features mild hybrid technology for a balance of performance and eco-friendliness.
Inside, the Scandinavian-inspired design shines through. The charcoal interior of the Black Edition, with its black headliner, offers customers a choice between Charcoal Ventilated Nappa Leather or Nappa Leather/Leatherette/Textile Sport Seats. These luxurious seating options, combined with metal mesh aluminum decor, a crystal gear shift knob by Orrefors, and a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Display with Google built-in, ensure a drive that is as luxurious as it is exhilarating.
The XC60, which has been a cornerstone in Volvo‘s line-up for the last 15 years, will have the Black Edition available for order soon, with deliveries expected to commence in early 2024. Notably, this SUV was named the 2018 World Car of the Year, further attesting to its global appeal.
For those keen on specifics, the XC60 B5 AWD Ultimate Black Edition is priced at $68,950, while the XC60 T8 Recharge Ultimate Black Edition comes in at $83,950.
This unveiling comes amidst other notable announcements from Volvo, including the introduction of two new powertrain options on the fully electric C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge, and the reveal of two new electric SUVs – the Volvo EX90 & EX30. Volvo Car Canada’s diversified range, consisting entirely of electrified vehicles since 2023, is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to a greener future.
