Volvo Ends V90 Production as Brand Continues to Kill its Wagon

The upcoming SUV represents a key step in Volvo’s evolution toward full electrification. It may also signal the end of the station wagon at Volvo now that the V90 is officially dead. Positioned as a central model in its future lineup, the EX60 expands the brand’s presence in a category where it already holds a competitive position with the XC60 and its varied electrified powertrains.

Production of the EX60 is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026 at the company’s Torslanda facility in Gothenburg, Sweden.
