Volvo targets Quebec’s EV market with compact SUV featuring off-road-ready enhancements.
Vehicle includes raised chassis, skid plates, black graphics, and advanced safety technologies.
Volvo Cars Canada has returned to the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS) with the Canadian debut of the EX30 Cross Country, loaded with enhanced off-road capability and urban versatility. The vehicle is now available at Canadian Volvo retailers and online, starting at $59,800 under the company’s One Price Promise.
The EX30 Cross Country builds on the existing EX30 platform, adding a raised suspension, front and rear skid plates, and black exterior accents. It is positioned to offer a compact footprint and increased all-terrain (or nearly so) versatility for Canadian drivers. The vehicle incorporates the same advanced safety features available across the Volvo lineup and continues the brand’s focus on functional Scandinavian design.
2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country First Drive: More Style, Less Range
Volvo Cars Canada has long identified Quebec as a priority market as it expands its electrified offerings. The Montreal show thus serves as a launchpad for the EX30 Cross Country.
“Quebec is a key market for us as we continue to expand our electrified portfolio,” said Matt Girgis, Managing Director, Volvo Cars Canada. “The EX30 Cross Country brings together the design, safety and versatility our customers expect from Volvo, in a compact electric SUV well suited to a wide range of lifestyles. It matches the urban practicality and true off-road confidence that Quebecers are looking for.”
The MIAS runs from January 16 to 25, 2026, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Volvo’s exhibit includes the EX30 Cross Country, as well as electrified and mild-hybrid models such as the EX30, EX40, XC40, XC60, and XC90. The Safety Cage Display is also featured. Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive the EX30 and EX40 models during the event.
The EX30 Cross Country is available to configure and place a deposit online.
