- In a quick turnaround, the GIMS has put together a Virtual Press Day.
- There’s a schedule of presentations to follow as though we were there.
- The show’s over but the Geneva International Motor Show must go on.
Late last week, the Swiss Government made the call to ban all groupings of 1,000 people or more in the hopes of slowing the spread of the coronavirus. The decision was made less than a week before thousands of journalists and carmaker representatives were to gather at the Palexpo in Geneva for the 90th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show. Now, in an effort to help out OEMs with their introductions, the GIMS organizers have put together a central hub for all upcoming virtual presentations.
The interesting part of this quick turnaround is that much of what was to take place on the show floor and order has been retained. This means that reveals from all builders, from AMG and BMW, to Skoda and Volkswagen will all be available from this one central location.
