Two icons of uncompromising craft — one forged in the ateliers of Yokohama, the other on the roads of Molsheim — have just produced the most audacious golf club collection of the decade, and its very expensive
- HONMA and Bugatti launched a co-branded golf collection on June 16, 2026, comprising three distinct lines at different price and performance tiers.
- Design cues are drawn directly from the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar — its horseshoe grille, C-line, and tachometer — translated into clubhead architecture.
- The flagship 5 Star BERES set is strictly limited to 20 sets worldwide; the Tour World Premium Collection follows in late June 2026.
There are collaborations born out of marketing convenience, and then there are those that feel almost inevitable in hindsight. The union of HONMA Golf and Bugatti belongs firmly in the second category.
The HONMA x Bugatti collection is not a branding exercise. It is the product of two companies that share something rarer than prestige: an almost pathological refusal to compromise. HONMA has been hand-building golf clubs in Japan since 1958, relying on master artisans to achieve tolerances that industrialized production simply cannot replicate. Bugatti, founded in 1909 in Alsace by the visionary Ettore Bugatti, has operated under a founding principle that has never needed updating: “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti.” Put these two philosophies in a room together and what emerges is not a product line — it is a statement.

Three lines, one obsession
The collection is structured around three offerings, each with its own personality and purpose.
The BERES Super Premium Collection is where heritage meets hyperbole. Available in 3 Star, 4 Star, and 5 Star tiers, it carries forward HONMA’s storied BERES luxury lineage while absorbing the visual language of the Bugatti Tourbillon. The horseshoe grille, the iconic C-line, the newly developed Tourbillon instrument cluster — all of these signature Bugatti elements have been meticulously reinterpreted into the clubhead architecture. The 3 Star and 4 Star versions wear an ice-blue finish applied using the same two-tone paint technique found on the Tourbillon’s bodywork. As for the 5 Star? Only 20 sets will ever exist. Full stop.

The Tour World Premium Collection operates on a different register entirely. Where the BERES line is a collectible work of art, the Tour World is engineered to win. Built on the DNA of HONMA’s professional TW777 platform, it integrates Bugatti’s aerodynamic design logic into genuine performance hardware. The driver uses a titanium-carbon composite construction with a deep, low center of gravity. The irons combine precision milling with soft forging to deliver what serious players crave: forgiveness without sacrificing feel, and a crisp, confident sound at impact. This is the collection for the golfer who wants to look good and shoot lower.
Then there is the Super Premium Bugatti Putter — available in 4 Star and 5 Star — which may be the collection’s most conceptually daring piece. Its head silhouette references the rear profile of the Tourbillon, while the sole draws directly from Bugatti’s signature tachometer. Standing over a putt, the sightline created by those flowing hood-inspired curves does more than look beautiful: it works. The precision-milled face delivers immediate feedback, and the exclusive grip ties the entire sensation together into something that feels less like equipment and more like an instrument.

Why this matters beyond golf
“Sport, performance, and wellbeing are part of the personal interests within the Bugatti customer lifestyle,” said Wiebke Ståhl, Managing Director of Bugatti International. The candor is refreshing. This collection is designed for a specific kind of person — one who already understands that the finest things are never accidental — and it makes no apology for that.
What is genuinely interesting is how seriously both brands appear to have taken the technical dimension. The aerodynamic principles applied to the clubhead architecture are not decorative flourishes lifted from a mood board. They reflect the same engineering logic Bugatti applies to cars that exceed 400 km/h. HONMA’s artisans then translate those principles through their hands, into steel and titanium and carbon, with the patience that only 65 years of craft tradition can produce.
The BERES Super Premium Collection and the Bugatti Putter are available now through HONMA’s global network of stores, authorized dealers, and online platforms. The Tour World Premium Collection arrives later this month.

The Price of Perfection
The collection is structured across three tiers, each with its own price point — and its own definition of excess. Here are the number in US currency:
The Tour World Premium Collection, aimed at serious players, starts at $6,500 for the 3 Star configuration. The Super Premium Bugatti Putter — available in 4 Star and 5 Star — is priced at $3,200 and $9,600 respectively.
Then there is the BERES Super Premium Collection, where the numbers become genuinely startling. The 3 Star set retails at $12,500, the 4 Star at $25,000, and the 5 Star — all 20 of them — at $72,000 per set.
And yet, within HONMA’s own universe, these clubs are not even the most expensive the brand has ever produced — that distinction belongs to the BERES 7 Star Fuji Limited Edition, at $399,000.
Some numbers speak for themselves.
