Wireless Apple Car Play: A Free Update at INFINITI

Infiniti will offer a free update to most owners of its 2020 and 2021 vehicles

In-car connectivity has become almost mandatory these days. Drivers want to stay connected more than ever, whether it’s via a phone call, a map of the surrounding area to find their way or even to choose their favorite song.

Infiniti has just announced that several 2020 and 2021 models will be eligible for a free wireless update to Apple Car Play. The models affected by this update are the Q50 sedan, Q60 coupe, QX50 crossover and the large QX80.

“Customer satisfaction has always been a top priority at INFINITI, and we are pleased to offer Apple CarPlay® wirelessly to owners of the majority of our 2020 and 2021 vehicles,” said Steve Rhind, general manager, INFINITI Canada. “More than 80 percent of INFINITI owners use Apple products, and now they can go wireless while using CarPlay in their vehicle.”

Let’s recall that Infiniti had already implemented the technology in its two most recent 2022 models, the QX55 coupe SUV and the massive QX80. Unsurprisingly, the 2022 liveries of the Q50 sedan, Q60 coupe, not to mention the new QX60, will all be available with wireless Apple CarPlay technology, a system that has proven itself over the years for its ease of use and efficiency.

Customers who want to benefit from this free update have until March 31, 2022 to take advantage of it.
