Xiaomi Shows Off Lamborghini GoKart With Drift Tires, Faux Engine Noise

Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition, soups up kart, gives it the horns

  • Bright yellow electric raging bull does 40 km/h

  • 24,800 m electric range is probably more laps than you can handle

Want a Lamborghini but don’t have the space, cash, or patience for a full-size model? How about the Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition? A winged GoKart with the raging bull badge that makes Lambo noises and has tires designed for drifting.

Xiaomi unveiled the new kart at its 10th-anniversary event last night, says Soyacincau. It takes the company’s existing GoKart Pro and gives it some Italian flair along with some extra performance.

While the standard Pro can hit 37 km/h, the Lamborghini Edition can push past that to 40, which doesn’t sound that fast until you remember you’re sitting almost on the ground and missing seat belts and airbags. The kart can do up to 62 laps on a 400m track on a single charge of the 432 Wh battery pack. Like a V12-Lambo, the battery pack has plenty of vents and ducts to bring in cooling air and keep it fresh.

Custom rear tires are designed for better performance drifting, and the kart has an engine sound emulator, which we expect will make all the right Lamborghini noises, even if they’re just through a speaker. The kart also has anti-collision bumpers front and rear with side-impact cushioning, because GoKarting can turn mean in a hurry. It’s finished in an appropriately Lamborghini Yellow, with Lambo badges and a great big rear wing.

The Lamborghini Edition is said to be priced at CNY9,999, which is just shy of $2,000 Canadian, which makes this about the most affordable Lamborghini you’ll ever find. And hey, it’s an EV!
