NYIAS 2018: 8 reveals for Mercedes-Benz!

For an average carmaker, revealing one or two products at an international auto show is, a good show. Mercedes-Benz is not your average car manufacturer. For the 2018 edition of the New York Auto Show, they presented eight new cars!

While we’d love to talk about all of them, here

It’s difficult to start somewhere so let’s start with the top-line, uber Mercedes, the Maybach.  This ultimate expression of luxury is equalled by very few cars. The new two-tone paint schemes are breathtaking while the cabin is nothing short of palatial. To give you an idea of how big this car is, it’s actually 20cm longer than the long-wheelbase S-Class. It’s gorgeous.

The new AMG GT 4-door coupé is equally breathtaking but for very different reasons. To take a CLS and make prettier and tune it more to the likes of an E 63 S can only result in more attention, and more speeding tickets. It blends CLS and GT S interior touches with powerful and very powerful engines. It’s thrilling just to look at.

The C-Class has just received a facelift, and a handful of other adjustments including new driver assistance systems. The most changes are in the horsepower departments. The 300’s 4-cylinder makes 14 more horsepower for a total of 255 while the 43’ boosted V6 now makes 385 horsepower, an increase of 23.

Mercedes is on route to take over the automotive world what with the arrival of the new A Class in Canada this year. We’ll have a full review on the car in the near future.
