Not for North America. We know…
Audi has unveiled the latest generation of the A6 Avant, and cruelly, it’s not earmarked for North American markets. The gorgeous wagon features enhanced efficiency, aerodynamics, and digital technology. The new model incorporates Audi’s mild hybrid (MHEV plus) system, advanced chassis technology, and an upgraded interior with digital displays and customizable lighting.

The 2025 A6 Avant’s drag coefficient is only 0.25, the lowest for a combustion-engine Avant, thanks to aerodynamic refinements such as large air curtains, adjustable cool-air intakes, and a redesigned rear spoiler. The exterior maintains Audi’s signature balance of brawn and elegance, with a long wheelbase and distinctive quattro blisters.
The MHEV plus system is available with a 2.0L TDI engine (201 hp) and a 3.0L TFSI engine (362 hp). It integrates a 48-volt battery, a belt alternator starter, and a powertrain generator, enabling partial electric operation in low-speed conditions and coasting scenarios. The system also provides up to 170 lb-ft of additional torque during acceleration and recovers up to 25 kW of energy during deceleration.

Optional four-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension improve agility and ride comfort. The new progressive steering system has been stiffened for a more direct response, while the quattro sport differential enhances cornering stability.
The 2025 A6 Avant features a digital-first cockpit with Audi’s MMI panoramic display and an optional front passenger screen like the one found in the new Audi Q5. Digital lighting technology includes seven customizable light signatures and second-generation OLED rear lights that improve visibility. Additional premium features include a panoramic glass roof, a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, and four-zone climate control with an optional air quality package.

European orders for the new A6 Avant open this month, with first deliveries expected in May 2025. The base TFSI 150 kW model starts at €58,000, while the 2.0 TDI MHEV plus variant is priced from €61,700.
While the new A6 sedan will be available shortly, as should the RS 6, the A6 Avant is not expected to hit our shores.
