TT gets green paint and a brown cabin
50 copies will be built for US sales
It’s the end of the road for Audi’s wonderful TT. But that at least means special editions, including the 2023 Audi TT Roadster Final Edition with a special new green paint.
We’ll miss the Audi TT, which showed up back in 1998 as an upside-down bathtub based on the New Beetle. With baseball gove stitching inside and not quite enough power. Since then it has gotten meaner and faster, including some bonkers TT RS models with Audi’s angriest five-cylinder engine.
The America-only TT Roadster Final Edition will be sold only wearing Goodwood Green paint, and Audi Exclusive colour. It will also have a grey top (really, they couldn’t do tan?) and 20-inch S Line wheels. The grey roof is from the 2019 20th Anniversary Edition, so it’s at least special in that way.
On the inside, Audi has dug out Palomino Brown leather with stitching meant to make you remember the originals. It also has an extended leather package with even more brown hide, and black leather on the airbag cover and instrument cluster hood.
Though the Final Edition has S line trim, it’s a base model. That means a 2.0L four and 228 hp. A seven-speed dual-clutch is the only transmission available. It will get the S’s seats, with neck-level heating for top-down in cool weather.
Only 50 copies of the 2023 Audi TT Roadster Final Edition will be built. It’s on sale now for $67,800 plus destination.
