Audi has revealed the fifth-generation A6 allroad, complete with a seductively redesigned body, extra electrification, and enhanced off-road capability for its long-running crossover wagon.
For the first time, the A6 allroad adopts a wide-booty design. The vehicle’s body is 11 centimetres wider than the A6 Avant, creating a more substantial appearance, especially in the rear. Large alloy wheels ranging up to 21 inches and model-specific exterior elements distinguish the allroad from the standard wagon.
The updated off-road estate combines its broader stance with functional upgrades. Ground clearance increases by 34 mm (1.3 inches) compared with the A6 Avant, while a standard adaptive air suspension system delivers a 55-mm (2.16 inches) adjustment range. The setup is intended to support everyday comfort and extra ground clearance on rougher surfaces.
The A6 allroad evidently comes standard with quattro all-wheel drive and optimized all-wheel steering. Rear wheels can turn up to 5 degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels at low speeds to improve manoeuvrability. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels by up to 2 degrees to improve stability and steering precision. Progressive steering mounting is more rigid to increase responsiveness and driver feedback.
Inside, Audi has focused on digital technology and comfort. The cabin centres around the MMI panoramic display, which combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.5-inch touchscreen. Buyers can also specify a 10.9-inch passenger display. Additional technology includes digital Matrix LED headlights with customizable daytime running light signatures and second-generation digital OLED rear lighting.
Passenger comfort features include available cooled and massaging contour seats, four-zone automatic climate control, and a dimmable panoramic glass roof. Flexible rear seating and available roof-mounted cargo solutions are also on offer.
Audi is also expanding electrification across the lineup. The new A6 allroad will be the first delivered with e-hybrid plug-in hybrid technology. The powertrain combines a 2.0L gasoline engine producing 248 hp with an electric motor good for up to 141 hp. Total system output reaches 369 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The PHEV system relies on a 25.9 kWh gross battery pack, which, when fully charged, offers an electric range of up to 95 km WLTP or 81 km EPA. AC charging is rated at up to 11 kW, with a full recharge taking approximately two and a half hours.
Customers seeking diesel power can choose a 3.0L V6 TDI producing 295 hp and 428 torques. The engine incorporates Audi’s MHEV plus system, including a belt alternator starter, powertrain generator, and electrically powered compressor.
The new Audi A6 allroad will open for orders in Europe on June 18, 2026, with dealership arrivals scheduled for the fall. Pricing starts at €77,250.
