BRABUS Honours Founder With 77-Unit BODO Performance Coupe

• BRABUS BODO production limited to 77 units globally in tribute to company founding year.

BRABUS has unveiled the BODO, a limited-production grand touring coupe created as a tribute to company founder Bodo Buschmann. The new 2+2 model revives Buschmann’s visions for a large, high-performance grand tourer that blends classic proportions with modern engineering.

Only 77 units of the BODO will be produced worldwide, in reference to the year BRABUS was founded in Bottrop, Germany. Annual production volumes are expected to range between 10 and 15 vehicles.

The coupe uses a carbon-fibre body structure for nearly all exterior surfaces. BRABUS said the vehicle was engineered for a maximum speed of 360 km/h, with aerodynamic development focused on generating stability and balanced downforce at high speed.

At the front, the BODO features LED matrix headlights, a grille with 13 vertical slats, and integrated RAM-AIR ducts that supply cooling air to the engine. Additional air channels direct airflow toward the radiators and braking system. A carbon-fibre front spoiler adds to overall downforce.

The rear section incorporates a deployable two-stage spoiler that adjusts according to speed and braking conditions. During heavy braking above 140 km/h, the spoiler can pivot vertically to function as an air brake. The rear diffuser integrates four titanium exhaust outlets manufactured using 3D metal-printing technology.

Power comes from a hand-built 5.2-litre V12 biturbo engine producing 735 kW, or 1,000 hp, and 1,200 Nm of torque (885 lb-ft). Peak torque is available between 2,900 and 5,000 rpm. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels through an electronically controlled locking differential.

BRABUS claims the coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The vehicle covers the 0-300 km/h sprint in 23.9 seconds before hitting its top speed.

The BODO rides on 21-inch forged BRABUS Monoblock Z-GT “Shadow Edition” wheels wrapped in Continental SportContact 7 Force tires developed specifically for the vehicle. Suspension consists of a double-wishbone front layout and multi-link rear setup with adaptive dampers and selectable drive modes including GT and Individual.

Inside, the cabin combines black leather, Nubuck trim and carbon-fibre surfaces. BRABUS integrated custom quilting, embroidered Bodo Buschmann signatures and stainless-steel panels throughout the interior.

Each of the 77 vehicles also includes a blockchain-supported Digital Product Passport developed with the Aura Blockchain Consortium to document ownership and vehicle specifications.
