They are part of Dodge’s “Never Lift” program.
The Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody will feature 807 horsepower.
Jailbreak models will be available for order in late Q4 2021.
To Dodge, we say: Thank you. Through the brand’s Never Lift campaign, Dodge will introduce new muscle cars over the next 24 months. While we think the final new muscle car, as part of this program, will be their first EV, we’re going to get plenty of high-horsepower vehicles to celebrate. The first is the new 2022 Jailbreak version of the already awesome Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.
The highlights for these new Jailbreak editions are a bump in output to 807 horsepower thanks to some recalibrating. The other is that all ordering restrictions have been set aside.
“Roughly half of all Dodge customers modify their vehicles,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand Chief Executive Officer – Stellantis. “For those looking for increased performance, we will launch Direct Connection next month. But for those looking for a unique appearance, we are going to let customers run free through the styling archives. We’re taking most of the parts and pieces we’ve used over the years, adding a few new ones, and letting customers build their own ‘One of One.’ So if you’re dreaming about owning a Stinger Yellow Challenger with Brass Monkey wheels, Hammerhead Grey seats, Blue Brembos, and Red badges: I’m not sure we should, but we’ll build it for you.”
The new Jailbreak program will allow customers access to options in no less than 20 categories including seven options for seats, stripes, and wheels; six brake caliper color options; five exterior badging finishes; four choices each of steering wheels, seat belt colors, and floor mats; and much more.
Like you, we look forward to configuring our own personal Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak online.
