A camouflaged GR Corolla prototype hints at increased torque and revised aerodynamics for track use.
Finally, some good news in the car business! Toyota keeps its GAZOO Racing (GR) performance lineup hot and tempting for the 2026 model year. We want to know more about the GR Supra MkV Final Edition, the GR86 Yuzu Special Edition, and a camouflaged GR Corolla development prototype.
GR Supra MkV Final Edition Marks End of Current Generation

The 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition commemorates the final model year of the current Supra generation, originally revived in 2019 after a 17-year hiatus. Under the hood, the vehicle retains its 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine, producing 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration remains strong, with a 0–100 km/h time of 4.1 seconds for automatic models and 4.4 seconds for manual variants.
Performance enhancements for the Final Edition include updated suspension geometry, strengthened underbody bracing, a revised camber angle for improved cornering stability, and a new aerodynamic package that includes a carbon fibre ducktail spoiler and front/rear airflow enhancements. Larger Brembo brake discs and optimized steering feedback further refine driving dynamics.

Exterior design changes include new 19-inch matte black wheels, gloss carbon fibre mirror caps, and a matte-finished spoiler. Inside, Alcantara-upholstered seats with red stitching, a GR logo, and red interior accents underline its performance focus. An optional GT4 Style Pack, available Fall 2025, adds motorsport-inspired graphics and matte exterior finishes.
GR Corolla Prototype Previews Performance-Oriented Updates
Toyota is also teasing a new GR Corolla in camouflage, hinting at future track-focused improvements. While technical specifications have yet to be confirmed, visual cues such as larger fender and hood vents and a new rear spoiler emphasize aerodynamics and engine cooling. The model is undergoing further development and tuning ahead of an expected Fall 2025 reveal.

According to Toyota, the updated GR Corolla is expected to receive increases in torque output and unique powertrain tuning. Final testing, including a drive by Akio Toyoda, remains in progress.
GR86 Yuzu Special Edition Adds Colour and Control
Toyota’s GR86 lineup will gain the 2026 Yuzu Special Edition, a limited-run model based on the GR86 Premium grade. Painted in a vibrant Yuzu Yellow, the model also features 18-inch matte black wheels, Brembo brakes, and SACHS dampers as standard equipment. In Canada, the Yuzu edition includes a cat-back exhaust and body kit.

The GR86 continues to be powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder boxer engine that generates 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The six-speed manual transmission accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, while the automatic takes 6.9 seconds.
Interior updates in the Yuzu edition include black Ultrasuede sport seats with yellow perforations, yellow stitching across various touchpoints, and a cupholder cover with the GR logo. Toyota has confirmed that all 2026 GR86 models will continue with the chassis and throttle tuning updates introduced last year.
Motorsport Influence Across the GR Lineup

Across all three models, Toyota proves that it remains committed to its fans via lightweight construction, precise handling, and styling. The GR Supra and GR86 feature advanced suspension systems and the availability of manual transmissions for enthusiast-focused driving. The GR Corolla, while still in prototype phase, is expected to carry forward the same design and development philosophy. Performance upgrades such as the GR86 Yuzu’s cat-back exhaust and body kit, unique to Canada, show that the Japanese automaker knows its market well.
Detailed pricing and full technical specifications for the 2026 GR lineup are expected closer to their respective Fall 2025 market launches.
