Everything You Need To Know About The Massive Toyota/Lexus Recall

Nearly 1.8 million Lexus and Toyota Vehicles Recalled For Fuel Pump Issues

  • Nearly 1.8 million Lexus and Toyota vehicles are involved.
  • There are 111,529 recalled vehicles in Canada.
  • A faulty fuel pump is the issue.

This recall affects vehicles manufactured from 2013 up to 2019 and is not limited to any one model or segment, and involves both Toyota and Lexus vehicles.

Recall Details (from Transport Canada):

On certain vehicles, the low-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, then engine may run rough or may not start and the check engine light may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving.

Safety Risk:

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump.
