Expect a new Navigator by week’s end
But don’t expect huge changes to the huge SUV
Get ready for a new Navigator. Lincoln is planning a new version of its luxury flagship SUV, and it’s giving us a sneak preview. Take a look ahead of the launch of the newest version of the yacht later this week.
The preview starts with light string music and the dulcet tones of Matthew McConaughey, who gets all introspective about what luxury really is.
It then shows a new grille and new lines. Lincoln looks to be bringing the 2025 Navigator into line with the rest of its latest vehicles including the latest Nautilus. We get a quick look into the cabin, too, which shows piano key-style controls for gear selection and a design that’s been greatly simplified over the current SUV.
The steering wheel is new, too. Again taking on the oblong look that’s common to the rest of the brand’s SUVs.
As for what we expect? This clearly won’t be the electric Navigator we had been expecting. It will likely come with the same twin-turbo 3.5L V6 offered in the current model with a 10-speed automatic. However, since the Navigator is based on the Ford F-150’s bones, it is possible that a more advanced powertrain like the pickup’s hybrid system could make the jump.
