Mercedes-Benz will launch its high-power EV charging network in Canada, starting in 2025.
Initial stations will be in Metro Vancouver, with expansion planned across the country.
The network will feature 400 kW chargers, compatible with CCS1 and NACS connectors.
Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging (MB HPC) is expanding its EV charging network into Canada. The company debuted its Canadian expansion plans at the Toronto Auto Show and wants to improve fast-charging infrastructure as part of a broader strategy to support EV adoption.
The company currently operates over 300 charging stations in 11 U.S. states and plans to deploy more than 2,500 charging stalls in Canada and the United States. Canada’s first MB HPC locations will open in Metro Vancouver in 2025, and additional stations will follow.

The expansion addresses a critical challenge in the Canadian EV market: limited access to high-power fast-charging stations. By integrating its stations at lifestyle destinations such as shopping centres and travel hubs, Mercedes-Benz hopes to make charging more convenient for EV drivers.
Each MB HPC location will support CCS1 and NACS connectors, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of electric vehicles. While the network is open to all EV owners, Mercedes-Benz customers can access exclusive benefits. The stations will feature 400 kW fast chargers, capable of charging some EVs from 10% to 80% in under 20 minutes.
MB HPC’s intelligent charging management system is designed to optimize efficiency, allowing users to charge while they visit nearby shops or cafés.

Mercedes-Benz first launched its high-power charging network in late 2023 and has since partnered with retailers such as Starbucks and Buc-ee’s in the United States. The Canadian expansion is part of the automaker’s broader goal of enhancing the EV ownership experience by making charging more accessible and reliable.
The company has not yet announced specific locations beyond Metro Vancouver but plans to continue growing its network in Canada over the coming years.
